Account Deletion

This page explains how to delete your Final Whistle account and the data associated with it. You can request deletion whether or not the app is currently installed.
1. Delete in the app (recommended)
The fastest way is to delete from inside the app.
- Open the Final Whistle app or web client
- Go to the MY tab in the bottom navigation
- Scroll to the Delete account section
- Tap Delete account
- Confirm in the dialog
Deletion starts immediately and completes within 30 days at the latest.
2. Request deletion by email
If you cannot or prefer not to use the app (e.g., already uninstalled), you can request deletion by email.

Final Whistle account deletion request - Body: Tell us the email address you used to sign up. If you used Apple or Google sign-in, please include your display name and any identifying details so we can verify ownership.
Requests are processed within 30 days. We'll email a confirmation when the deletion is complete.
3. Scope of deletion
The following data is permanently deleted:
- Firebase Authentication account (UID, email, OAuth identifiers)
- Backend records (profile, settings, notification tokens)
- Content you authored solely yourself
- Your authoring identifiers on comments and metadata in shared clubs/tournaments (the author identifier is anonymized or removed)
- Streaks, usage statistics, push tokens
4. What we do not delete
The following data is retained for legal, operational, or shared-use reasons:
- Shared club / tournament content — Even clubs and tournaments you created may persist while other participants are still using them. Delete or transfer ownership before deleting your account if you want the content removed.
- Shared scoreboard links — Match results and standings already shared remain as content of the other participants and are not auto-removed.
- Anonymized / aggregated usage logs — Cannot be linked back to you and are kept for service improvement.
- Data we are required by law to retain — e.g., e-commerce transaction records (5 years). Stored separately and deleted at the end of the legal retention period. (We currently offer no paid features, so this generally does not apply.)
5. Processing time
- In-app deletion: starts immediately → completes within 30 days
- Email request: completed within 30 days of identity verification
- During processing, your data remains under access controls and we cease any new processing such as external sharing.
